The homepage of Sportverse Competitions is meant to answer one practical question: what can I still look at signing up for? To keep that answer short, we hide most finished or expired entries by default. “Open” and “closed” here describe our display filter, built from dates we copy from public organizer pages—not a live feed of SmartPLAY quota or HKTA draw status.

Sportverse 比賽列表首頁旨在回答：還有哪些賽事值得我現在去報名？為保持可讀，預設隱藏大部分已結束或過期的項目。「開放」與「已截止」指本站的顯示規則，依我們從公開頁擷取的日期計算——並非 SmartPLAY 名額或網總抽籤狀態的即時 API。

Open / 開放（預設顯示）

An event stays in the default list when either:

• The source published an entry deadline, and that deadline is today or later in Hong Kong time; or
• There is no deadline in our data, and the event has not ended yet (event end date is today or later in HKT).

預設列表保留的賽事符合以下任一條件：

• 來源有公布報名截止日，且該日為香港時間當日或未過；或
• 資料中沒有截止日，且賽事尚未結束（結束日為香港時間當日或未過）。

Sport filters (tennis, squash, etc.) apply on top of that open set. Changing filter buttons does not resurrect events we already classify as closed unless you tick the closed toggle.

項目篩選（網球、壁球等）在「開放」集合上再過濾。切換項目不會顯示已列為截止的賽事，除非勾選「已截止」。

Closed / 已截止（預設隱藏）

We treat an event as closed—and hide it unless you enable Closed 已截止—when:

• The entry deadline was before today in Hong Kong; or
• The event end date is before today in Hong Kong, even if a deadline was never supplied.

以下情況視為已截止，並預設隱藏（除非勾選「已截止」）：

• 報名截止日早於香港時間今日；或
• 賽事結束日早於香港時間今日，即使沒有截止日欄位。

Organizers may stop accepting entries earlier than the printed deadline, or extend a window without updating every mirror page immediately. If SmartPLAY says “full” while we still show open, trust SmartPLAY. If we show closed but the official page reopened registration, email us with the source URL.

主辦方可能早於通告截止日停收，或延長報名而網頁未及更新。若 SmartPLAY 顯示已滿而本站仍為開放，以 SmartPLAY 為準。若本站已截止但官方重新開放，請附上來源網址電郵我們。

Timezone / 時區

All day comparisons use Asia/Hong_Kong. Midnight boundaries follow local calendar dates on the stored deadline and end-date fields, consistent with how parents plan around school nights and weekend matches.

所有日期比較使用香港時區。截止日及結束日以本地曆日為界，方便家長按學期及周末安排。

Why the plain HTML list exists / 為何有純 HTML 列表

The interactive cards load from JavaScript and events.js, but the homepage also embeds a static section of open event names and dates. Search engines and users with JavaScript disabled still see a readable snapshot of what we consider open at publish time. That snapshot updates when the site maintainer runs the publish pipeline; it is not a second source of truth for registration.

互動卡片由 JavaScript 及 events.js 載入，但首頁亦嵌入靜態的開放賽事名稱與日期。搜尋引擎及停用 JS 的用戶仍可閱讀發布當刻的概覽。該段在發布流程更新，並非報名狀態的第二來源。

Not an official status API / 非官方狀態接口

LCSD, HK Squash, HKTA, and other bodies operate their own enrolment systems. We do not poll private APIs for “registration open” flags. Our closed state is a hygiene rule for a public calendar, documented in project specs so the list does not become an archive of every past district tournament. Squash entry deadlines / 壁球截止日的特別情況

Some squash cards carry an explicit entry deadline parsed from Hong Kong Squash notices, while LCSD-style rows lean on end dates when no deadline field exists. The same open/closed rules apply: a passed deadline hides the card even if match play is weeks away. Squash players should read both lines on the card before assuming they can enter on the morning of the first round.

部分壁球卡片有從香港壁球總會通告擷取的截止日；康文署類型則可能在沒有截止欄時依結束日判斷。規則相同：截止日一過即隱藏卡片，即使比賽日尚遠。壁球選手應同時閱讀卡片上的截止與比賽日期，勿假設首场比赛當晨仍可報名。

After publish updates / 發布更新之後

When maintainers run the publish pipeline, events.js and the noscript crawl block refresh together. A brief lag can exist between an organizer changing a deadline online and our next ingest. If the official page and our list disagree for more than a day, send a correction email—see contact.

維護者執行發布流程時，events.js 與 noscript 靜態段會一併更新。主辦方改截止日至我們下次擷取之間可能有短暫落差。若官方頁與列表不符超過一天，請按聯絡頁電郵更正。
